100 Days of Poetry No. 74: London, Breathless

This city is breathless,
old and chaotic,
with great noisy beasts,
rumbling underneath:

hot breath escaping from
entrances expelling crowds;

yet a kind of order exists –
like ants we have formation:
stand on the right,
walk on the left;

and like small polite birds,
we pardon those who
break the rules.

    It is very good. Could be lyrics for a song. Maybe missing some lines but very good.
