I’ve got a folder on my phone that I’ve named ‘Skyscapes’ which is full of photos I’ve taken that feature the sky in some way, whether sunsets from outside our window, to moments when I’ve been lucky to catch mist blanketing the local park.

I find that the same views crop up often, over the years, but the sky is always unfailingly different.

It’s always there to remind us of perspective and how beautiful the world can be. I feel smaller but comforted when I take the time to look up.

The folder is full of magic and beauty, and reminds me of how many moments I’ve been privileged enough to see that magic is everywhere, in everything.

″‘If I painted the sky,’ she had said one day, ‘I could go through life paintin’ nothin’ else, for it’s always changin’. It never stays still.‘” – Michelle Magorian, Goodnight Mr Tom.

Wow! Such picturesque photos! I love the color behind the simplicity in the foreground.
