December Reflections

It’s been a while! After trying to do Nano Poblano, which just didn’t work for me this year, I decided to take a break to rest for a bit: I completely underestimated how tired I was after working on getting my book published. I haven’t been idle though – I turned 34 at the beginning of this month, and had a lovely day with vegan cake, people I love, and watching films.

We’ve been getting the house Christmas ready, and though it still needs a bit of work, it’s almost there. There’s another busy two weeks coming up before the holiday so I’m just making lots of lists and trying not to let anxiety come calling.

Over on Instagram I’m taking part in Susannah Conway’s December Reflections – 31 days of photo prompts and reflections on 2018. It’s been good to reflect on the highs, lows, and lessons of the year, but also to be a little more creative with photography too. I’m trying to ease myself into a more creative frame of mind, to get myself into a space where I feel refreshed and ready to take on another year of challenges and goals.

Susannah also has a Unravel Your Year workbook which is free if you sign up on her site. It’s printable or you can jot down answers in a notebook. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in when I have a bit of free time.

I’ll be back blogging soon – especially with news about my book, since I’ve had two articles published about it and it’s now available internationally on Kobo, and soon on Google Play. I’d like to thank those of you who have bought it so far and I hope you’re enjoying reading!
