It’s November, the month when writers worldwide, despite their misgivings, come to life in a flurry of activity. What with NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month, where you post at least once a day for November), and any other NaNos or NaBlos, writers get no rest this month!

I’ve taken part in two NaNoWriMos before, accruing 100,000 words, and three NaBloPoMos (2013, 2016, and 2017). Taking part in NaBloPoMo, I leapt out of my comfort zone, writing some of my best writing and some of my worst writing, but I came out of the other end exhausted and elated.

This year, I’m taking part in NaBloPoMo again, once again with a wonderful community of bloggers, team Cheer Peppers, doing Nano Poblano. Anyone is welcome to join in – the more the merrier! It’s a heady mix of blog posts, cheering other people on, and community spirit. You don’t have to write full length blog posts – you can post photos, poetry, quotes, videos, anything you like.
So here’s to another month of creativity and writing – to new explorations and ideas and photos.
‘Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.’ – E.L. Doctorow.
