Listography

listographyYou might remember me compiling a wish list of three interesting books a few days ago. On my list was a book called ‘Listography’ and I also wanted to get my hands on the ‘Future Listography’. I’m not feeling so fussed anymore because I discovered that if you go to the Listography website, you can sign up and create your own listography page! It works a bit like Tumblr and WordPress in one – except you write lists about anything and everything you can imagine. For my list-loving mind, this is practically heaven. You can make your own list subjects or you can have a list topic generated for you – it is so fun and very very addictive. Perhaps more addictive than Tumblr. By the way, here is my Tumblr: destinyischoice.

What is there to love about lists? They are a bite sized version of a longer blog post, or they help to prioritize things. I used to love making ‘top ten’ lists when I was a kid; I still do! Except I can never keep it to just ten. Then there are compilations that you can make for music on the computer – another form of making lists. I guess there is something about listography – the feeling that you can compartmentalise or deal with things in more bite-sized chunks.

A couple of lists for your amusement:
