This photo was taken on the day that I graduated at York with a Women’s Studies Masters degree! My family, partner and my sister’s boyfriend all came up for the graduation and then we spent the rest of the day walking around York and then had dinner at Pizza Express. This is my partner Dan and me – you can see how happy I look. It was a lovely day and something I’ll always remember – it rounded off one of the best years of my life socially and academically. It was one of those moments where I felt that my life had turned a corner for the better. If I hadn’t done an MA, I’m not sure whether I would have ended up figuring out what I want from life.
