For Ra Avis’s (Rarasaur’s) blog bingo this month, I’m sharing a poem I wrote in early July. Go and read her first post of the month, How to Heal: ‘If you want to heal, you must first find every bruised place.’
I haven’t lost the words,
but they’ve been silent.
Silent enough to ferment,
quiet enough to dwell,
Like the heaviness of the air
before a thunderstorm.
So I’m just waiting in the clouds,
for the lighting to spark,
For the words to connect,
and the rain to start.
